Don't you just love bouncing out of bed every morning? ...If you're anything like me, it actually takes you a moment to wake up and face another day. The good news is that we DO have the ability to take the dark out of our dawn! Utilize These 3 Tips For Jump-Starting Your Morning: Practice Gratitude - BEFORE our feet hit the floor! Being thankful for life and the opportunity each new day brings can drastically improve the quality of our life. Sure, some people have it better than you, but most you don't! Create Joy - We know happiness doesn't just happen, it's cultivated. Joy requires us to focus on finding pleasure even in the simplest of things. Maybe you like funny video clips or upbeat music while you are getting ready... Whatever you enjoy, incorporate it into your routine! Carry Positive "Energy" - It often takes work and determination to emit positive energy. Moment by moment, thought by thought, we create our own reality. Each day, we are challenged by circumstance... Recognizing how we feel and clearing out any negative energy to benefit ourselves and others throughout the day is key. Changing our perspective can be as easy as turning on a light switch and as bright as one, too. Remember, most of what we feel on the inside shows on the out. By practicing gratitude, joy and positivity, we are taking steps towards having a great day! Amy O'Pry Massey www.opryconsulting.com

Have you ever considered the difference between an apology and actually saying, "I'm sorry"? Experts say there IS a difference! Next time you're in a pickle, instead of saying "I apologize if I hurt you", try these three easy tips for apologizing like a pro: - "I was wrong" - Simply put, this phrase says we take full responsibility for causing a problem. - "I'm Sorry" - Two words that speak great volume... Most of the time, a genuine "I'm sorry" allows the offense to be forgiven. - "I will do my best to make it better" - Tomorrow is a new day. Each moment we recognize what works and what doesn't work is a victory. Let us remember, no one is perfect. We all have ups and downs that affect others... the quicker we acknowledge where we went wrong and how to make it right can determine our progress. Amy O'Pry Massey www.opryconsulting.com |
